RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Medico-legal reports on young people and families
I work with children and young people in the care system and in the Youth
Justice System. In the Criminal Justice System, I provide reports on the
areas identified above. Within the Care System, I provide expert
psychiatric opinion on mental health matters in context of placements,
mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. I have particular expertise
in ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and complex clinical presentations. I
also provide psychiatric cover for young people abusing substances
including substitute prescribing for Buprenorphine (Subutex).
I am multilingual being able to speak Hindi, Gujrati and some Urdu.
1. Criminal Matters:
a. Psychiatric Reports and assessments in criminal cases for
Crown, Youth and Magistrates' Courts.
b. Assessment for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder), particularly for repeat offenders
c. Assessment for Learning Disability in the context of offending
d. Psychiatric Assessments for Fitness to Plead cases
e. Pre-sentencing Assessments
f. Criminal Responsibility and Learning Disability
g. Assessment of Dangerousness / Risk Assessment (Lang and
Johnson cases)
