Medico-Legal Experience
I have worked as Deputy Coroner from 1966 till 2007 and I have had experience of working in the coroner’s court and conducting inquests. Which includes appointing and examining medical expert witnesses.
I have been writing medico-legal reports since 1966 these have been mostly for accident claims on behalf of the plaintiffs. I have also given two reports with regard to criminal charges, one for the plaintive and one for the defendant.
In the past three years I have written on average 20 reports a month.
So far I have not given evidence in court as an expert witness.
I attend at least one expert witness training day a year.
I am also a member of the Expert Witness Institute
