During my career I have performed a large number of total hip replacement using cemented and uncemented prostheses by different approaches.

At Ealing Hospital I performed 87% of all total hip replacements between September 1986 and January 1987.

The Consultant whomI replaced at St Mary's Hospital had a special interest in joint replacement aswell as revision surgery for both hips and knees.

Shoulder Surgery

I have gained experience in various procedures for recurrent dislocation of the shoulder,reconstruction and hemi-arthroplasty for fractures of the proximal humerus, as well as total shoulder replacement.

Ankle and Foot Surgery

I have performed various procedures in ankle and foot surgery, such as triple fusion. I have assisted with such procedures as fibialis posterior transfer for foot drop. I have done a considerable number of operations on the foot including a variety of corrective procedures for hallux valgus, such as Kellner's arthroplasty and Wlson's and Mitchell's osteotomies.

Trauma

Most of hte positions I held in Orthopaedics involved trauma. I developed extensive experience in internal fixation using AO railing techniques. I gained experience in closed intramedullary railing for femoral, tibial and humeral fractures. I have used external faixators for open fractures.
