Medico Legal Experience

My medicolegal work is divided about 50:50 claimant and defence. I write about 200 medical reports each year and have extensive experience of Court proceedings. Most of this work is in the field of personal injury, but I have also acted as expert witness in medical negligence cases, medical complaints procedures, general medical disorders and housing disorders. I have been a member of the Medical Appeals Tribunal for over 20 years and have acquired extensive experience of procedure. I have received training from the Lord Chancellor's Department on the European Human Rights legislation, Medical Appeal Tribunal procedure, and Bond Solon, in legal aspects of report writing, giving evidence, the CPR, and the duties of the Single Joint Expert I have been re-appointed by the Lord Chancellor to the Appeal Tribunal Service. My name appears in the Law Society’s Directory of Expert Witnesses, APIL’s Expert database and the Accord List of the Medical Experts of the Cardiff & District Law Society.
