Medico Legal Experience

I started medico-legal work after my appointment to the Consultant post in July 1998. I have been interested in this type of work since then. I have submitted more than 200 medical reports up till now. These medical reports covered a wide range of conditions within my speciality of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck surgery. Nearly, two thirds of these reports were submitted following the Woolf reforms. I am interested in medical reports dealing with nasal injuries following accidents, industrial deafness or other conditions related to ear, nose and throat problems. My medical reports will include detailed examination of the patients with state of the art endoscopic and microscopic equipment within the outpatient clinic facility. Once the relevant medical records received, it is normally two weeks from seeing the patient and submission of medical report.
