Medico Legal Experience

I qualified in 1983 and obtained my FRCS in 1987. I became an Orthopaedic Registrar in 1988 and worked up until the end of 1991 as a Registrar. As a Registrar I worked at Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital, Ancoats Hospital, Booth Hall Hospital and Hope Hospital.

In 1992 I obtained a Senior Registrar Post and I worked in the Royal Preston Hospital for eight months. Thereafter, I spent sixteen months at Hope Hospital and Pendlebury. I also spent eight months as a Senior Registrar at North Manchester General Hospital, Ancoats Hospital and Booth Hall Hospital.

I also completed a six months fellowship in upper limb surgery at Wrightington Hospital before I was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in upper limb and knee surgery at the Manchester Royal Infirmary in 1994.

I have published over a hundred papers, several of which are on upper limb surgery and knee surgery trauma and tumours and carpal tunnel surgery.
